BUHLER, Isomet ä Low Speed Saw

The Isomet ä Low Speed Saw is a precision sectioning saw designed for cutting all types of materials with little or no deformation. Uses continuous rim diamond wafering (very thin, 0.3 mm) blades.

The first step in preparing a sample for SEM/TEM analysis is sectioning a 5x10 mm piece of interest.

The sample holding arm incorporates a precise micrometer adjustment for alignment of the specimen prior to sectioning. The sample is gravity fed.

Mounted samples can be sectioned effectively with proper selection of chucks and flanges. Continuous variable speeds of 0 to 300 rpm can be achieved.

At the end of the cut, the Isomet will automatically turn itself off.

Before using the saw, check manual for type of blade recommended

and ensure availability.
