RESEARCH INTERESTS:

The general area of our research is in materials, surface, and analytical chemistry, electrochemistry, and nanotechnology. Currently we are focused on:
  • The size- and shape- controlled synthesis of metallic nanostructures.
  • Controlled assembly, patterning, and alignment of metallic nanostructures on surfaces.
  • Optical, electronic, catalytic, and electrochemical properties of metallic nanostructures of varying size and shape.
  • Applications for metal nanostructures in electronic and electrochemical gas, vapor, and biochemical sensing.
