Mark is responsible for managing the operation several of the materials labs at UofL. He has over thirty-five years of engineering experience. After five years in the US Nuclear Navy during the Vietnam War, he spent 25 years as a technologist at General Electric Co, the last 11 years as General Manager.

From 1992 through 1998 he was VP and Chief Technology Office for GEs $7billion worldwide appliance business. Utilizing a state-of-the-art Materials & Processes Laboratory, he directed the development of a steady stream of innovative, leadership products for the global market, utilizing a broad array of new materials and processes.
