Energy Conversion
Our group is currently working on a project using doped versions of metal-oxide nanowires and nanowire networks for photoelectrochemical splitting of water for hydrogen generation. Our unique technology for producing large area coating of nanowires and nanowire networks onto quartz and other systems allows us to think of large reactor development necessary for commercial production of hydrogen using photoelectrochemistry (solar energy). Hydrogen production is one of the most important chemical needed for our future cleaner energy (fuel cells).
